This is made from several sheets of thin layered laminated wood that are glued together and then carved from a solid piece.  

It's also dyed to make it a more interesting look and it accentuates the shape better than with natural wood colour.

This is made from several sheets of thin layered plywood, that is laminated to a 15cm thick slab, and sculpted into this from a solid piece. This idea of shaping comes from stone carving where this kind of loops seem popular but I've never seen it made in wood. 

The piece is dyed to make it a more interesting look and it accentuates the shape better than with natural wood colour.

This is made from a huge birch trunk and added copper powder that is oxidized with several chemicals to make a colorful and exciting surface. It makes an interesting effect to mix natural wood with oxidized metal.
